IMPACTLAB

Welcome

Imagine yourself working in science and having an idea that you would like to share with the world. You would like to share your idea with a specific target audience: people outside of the academic world, who wouldn’t easily come across your idea in their daily lives. In order to reach these people, you decide to share your idea in a creative, open and accessible way. In other words: you have stepped into the world of science communication!

When you decide to get involved in science communication, you often have a specific goal in mind: for instance to teach people something new, to make them aware of a certain subject or simply to allow them to be involved in science (e.g. by exchanging ideas with scientists).

But how do you know whether you have reached those specific goals? And whether your podcast, book or festival succeeded in reaching the kind of people that you wanted to reach? In other words: how can you discover whether your science communication project has had any impact?

If you are looking for answers to these questions, you have come to the right place. Welcome to IMPACTLAB!
